8 Ways to Celebrate Valentine's Day at Home
Staying home doesn't mean you can't have fun this Valentine's Day. Check out some of our ideas and plan your day!
1. Indoor Picnic
There's no better snack to nibble on all day than a charcuterie board. Add whichever treats you like, and don't forget to pair your cheeses and jams with the perfect wines. Not a fan of cheese and crackers? Try a different type of charcuterie board, like one made with candy or desserts.
Asda has just the perfect ideas for Classic, vegan and sweet boards! – this is a foodie spread like no other! Check out here
2. Home Cinema
Everyone’s been binge-watching Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ at the moment, but a movie night never really does get old.
To make your Valentine’s Day film more like a proper cinema experience, be sure to stock up on snacks - pick and mix, crisps, nachos and popcorn will suffice - and arrange the cushions, sofa and blankets so you can snuggle in to watch something.
3. Breakfast in Bed
There's no better way to start the day than with breakfast in bed. Put a tray together for you and your partner — and don't forget to include as many heart-shaped food items as possible. It's a simple way to say "I love you" before your partner even takes a sip of their coffee. Check out some delicious sweet and savoury recipes from Asda here
4. Dress up and order in Your Favourite Meal
Just because you're spending Valentine's Day at home, it doesn't mean that you can't play dress-up. Whether you are getting a burger from Five Guys or a Pizza from Pizza Express, you can class up the experience by dolling up and dressing to the nines like you're going on an actual date.

5. Let There Be Music
Songs are like timestamps, marking a time, moment, or memory in our lives. If a shared interest in music is what connects you, why not make a Spotify playlist of your favourite songs and have it playing all day? It could consist of songs from the concerts you've attended together or uplifting tracks from all the dance music festivals you've both been to.
6. Buy Him/Her a Little Something
From lingerie and PJs to candles and gadgets, Matalan has got gifts that say ‘I love you to bits’ ! Shop all things Valentine's Day here and collect at Water Gardens.
7. Memories Slideshow
If you’ve been together a while, you’ll be sure to have many happy memories as a couple and sometimes it’s easy to forget about the good times. Upload some of your favourite pictures and videos of you both to a slideshow so you can reminisce about pre-Covid times - and plan for future adventures.
8. Galentine’s is a thing too!
Throw a virtual pyjama party! You've probably spent the better part of the past year in pyjamas, and so why not keep it going on Galentine's Day? Throw on your favourite PJs and get ready to celebrate with your BFFs.
