Skydiving Centre Manager beats his nerves to support hospice
Simon Plumb, Centre Manager for the Water Gardens, successfully completed another nerve-racking challenge in aid of local charity St Clare Hospice on Friday, raising a fantastic £500 for the charity.
The challenge saw him take a leap of faith from an aircraft at 13,000ft. This saw him free fall at 120mph, descending to 5,000ft in only 40 seconds, before opening the parachute and sailing safely back down to earth.
Simon commented: "I was definitely out of my comfort zone and very nervous ahead of the jump, but none of that matters when you’re doing it for something so worthwhile. This cause is very close to my heart and the hearts of the Harlow community. Thank you to all those who supported me, the generous donations will make a big difference."
