Harlow College New Year Visual Merchandiser Pods

Lillie Wickenden is our New Year Merchandise Pod Winner

In our ongoing collaboration with Harlow College’s fashion programme, we provide students with a live brief to work on. The process begins with students creating a mood board to showcase their vision for the Visual Merchandising Pods. They then select products from our diverse range of fashion and lifestyle brands to design visual merchandising pods that align with their brief.

Lillie has highlighted health and wellbeing products from Asda, Skechers and Sports Direct featuring new collections from Under Armour, Adidas, Nike, and USA. We caught up with Lillie to ask her about her course and aspirations for the future.

Q: What are you studying and why did you choose this course?

A:  I’m currently studying on the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Fashion at Harlow College.

Q: What is your favourite brand and why?

My favourite fashion brand at the moment is Ralph Lauren. The brand is timeless and classy and always in style no matter what trends come and go.

Q: What’s your favourite aspect of the course?

A: My favourite thing about my course is how we have 3 different topics a year that can highlight each skill and as a student you can find what you like, what you are skilled at and what you don’t like. I also like how the trips are always useful and tied into a topic and makes the work more enjoyable.

Q: What are your post-college aspirations?

  1. My next steps are to go to university for costume design and stay with that for 3 years then hopefully be working in the movie industry as my career. If I could have any job I would be top costume designer in the movie industry and win awards for my work. I want to work hard to get to that point, I would like this job because I love media and behind the scenes work so it would tie in with my love for creating.

We were pleased to host Lillie on-site and look forward to following her future achievements.
